Women & Mozilla – WOMOZ – is a Mozilla project and the aim is to promote the implication and visibility of women in the FLOSS world in general – and in Mozilla’s teams more particularly.

I’m honored and grateful that Ioana Chiorean recommended me for Bonjour Mozilla!

Here is the article from Bonjour Mozilla!. Thanks all!

Here are the OSOM topics from Sibiu, 2nd edition – OSOM Reloaded!

Enjoy! :-)

The beginning of every year brings in new hope and enthusiasm. We look forward to a new beginning and hope things to improve from the last year… Really?!?!?!

We seem to realize things when it’s too late to fix it, so we call this “Lessons learned”

  • Find the perfect balance instead of spending too much time on one thing
  • Keep it focused, keep it on
  • Start sharing your ideas, learn and improve your knowledge
  • Open your mind, voice your opinion and enjoy the Open World
  • Stop making a plan, or hope for “nothing”, just do your thing
  • Be OSOM

Facebook announced today the worldwide release of the Timeline. So … I tried it!  It’s definitely something new, great UI, much more user friendly :-)

It’s interesting to see all my activity, pics and statuses 1 or 2 years old. In my opinion you should all try it … The only thing that I don’t like is that it’s not available for pages … or not yet.

If you are ready to upgrade you can do it from here ~

Mozilla Meet-up – Firefox 9 Preview

Let’s BE there!

Evenimentul a avut urmatoarele obiective:

  • Prezentarea conceptelor generale Open Source si Free Software

  • Open Source Cloud
  • Sibiu Jug Academy Java Open Source technologies for students
  • Mozilla – Make the web a better place
  • Ubuntu – Linux for human beings
  • Magnolia Java Open Source CMS

OSOM – Open Source Open Mind – is an event held annually, organized by  Pensacola Tech and Omeron Technologies. First edition was held on 30th October 2010 at Cluj Napoca, Romania and it was a success. OSOM is design to reveal the general Open Source and Free Software concepts, the differences between the two trends and the types of licenses used in this area, to demonstrate that Open Source and Free Software is a valid replacement or complement to proprietary software.

Last year, our mainly topics of discussion were:

  • Open Source Culture
  • Project Management and open source licenses
  • Widely used applications on open systems
  • Open source Caching Solutions
  • Things they say open source tools cannot do…Performance in testing by Jmeter
  • How does the Android Application Platform Work
  • Android application: “Where to go?”
  • Alternative Solutions for digital graphics

This year OSOM brings community leaders like Mozilla Foundation and Ubuntu to discuss about the hottest topics in FLOSS movement, demonstrating the advantages of adopting, using and developing Open Source and Free Software solutions.
Beyond this, the event tries to promote these open and free concepts in other fields, covering but not limited to, business, media and education.

This is a unique event where you can find the latest trends, learn about new technologies and all the hot topics in IT and Open Source / Free Software.

If you’re interested in learning about Open Source, need help with some aspect of its use or you are enthusiastic about it and want to help foster its adoption, you may want to join us!
